Through the planetary placements in the chart one can identify the dominant personality traits of the chart holder. While human personality is complex and constantly evolving, a fair assessment of the core personality traits can be made through astrology.

The 27 nakshatras in astrology are a storehouse of information. Each nakshatra can be viewed as a repository of energies. These energies when influential establish the basic structure of the personality, also shaping behavior and arousing aspirations. In many ways, nakshatras are a key to understanding human behavior.

THREE GODDESS NAKSHATRAS

Nakshatras are associated with symbols, deities, cosmic stars etc. Unravelling the meaning and energy of each nakshatra is close to unravelling the hidden knowledge about the cosmos. More so, the way the cosmos reflects in the behavior of human beings.

Here I refer to three nakshatras which are associated with the goddess.

First, the Jyeshta nakshatra- Jyeshtha Devi

Second, Purvashada nakshatra- Apas- the water goddess

Third, Mula nakshatra- Nirrati

Jyeshta nakshatra falls in the sign of Scorpio. The nakshatra is ruled by Indra. The word Jyeshtha means the elder one , the one with stature. The status of the elder is not necessarily based on age. It can also indicate the status one gains because of their ability to play the role of the elder, the leader, or the wise one.

Jyeshta Devi is associated with alakshmi, misfortune, dirty places, and sin. (as opposed to goddess lakshmi). As per some stories, she is said to have appeared during the churning of the cosmic ocean - the samundar manthan. Described as a large belly woman bringing misfortune and sin, some write about how she was forgotten over time. (See Jyeshta Devi- The Forgotten Dark Goddess of Time, 2016. https://bairaveebalasubramaniam.com/2016/06/04/jyestha-devi-the-forgotten-dark-goddess-of-time/?subscribe=success#blog_subscription-17)

The goddess energy can be located in Jyeshta nakshatra which confers status much through tribulations. The status acquired is based on the ability to control, hold or navigate the harsh experiences of life. An individual influenced by Jyestha nakshatra often has the capacity to keep groups together, show the path to many and make sacrifices for protecting all that it feels protective towards. These natives do not seek any returns for the role they play in numerous situations.

Mula nakshatra falls in the sign of Saggitarius. Goddess Nirrati associated with the nakshatra is the goddess of destruction. Destruction caused through crushing and ripping things apart. The description of the goddess creates fear just like that of goddess kali.

In many ways, Mula influenced natives are constantly searching for the truth. Or using all means possible to establish or expose the truth. The cosmic center/black hole/ galactic center is said to be located where the Mula nakshatra is . Just like the galactic center, Mula influenced persons carry powerful energies with them all the time. Occasionally they are unaware of the force within them only to manifest when triggered. Just like the goddess, Mula natives can be fearless and powerful.

In 2019- 2020 (up to September, 2020) when Ketu was transiting Mula nakshatra, studies on the black hole were constantly in news. In the year 2020 itself, the news appeared- three astrophysicists' groundbreaking work with black holes have taken the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics. (Look up Groundbreaking black hole research takes 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics, https://www.fox13memphis.com/news/trending/groundbreaking-black-hole-research-takes-2020-nobel-prize-physics/VJ7QQQE52ZGVJJEQJOL4DECPTM/#:~:text=STOCKHOLM%2C%20Sweden%20%E2%80%94%20Three%20astrophysicists%27%20groundbreaking%20work%20with,the%20other%20half%2C%20The%20New%20York%20Times%20reported)

Purvashada nakshatra falls in the sign of Saggitarius and is ruled by goddess Apas- goddess of the waters. Many cultures worship and show allegiance to water goddesses. (See Tientsin Mystic/Netflix- the male lead is worshipped as a Water God). The energy of the nakshatra is like the waters. When in its natural peaceful state it symbolizes tranquility and movement. When uncontrolled and churned it causes destruction and death. Purvashada energy is powerful enough to gather and control large crowds to a goal/path. Located in the sign of Saggitarius, the nakshatra influenced persons are far sighted. Every plan is in execution of a grand plan.

The word purva in Purvashada stands for early or before. The natives are often provided with the means and ways to attain whatever it is they are aiming for. These are natives that often acquire fame or recognition at a younger age. Sometimes, early victory also can mean how quickly they attain success in a business venture or project. The water goddess energy is hard to ignore. Natives are always on the move and are able to gather resources, courage, skill, people as they go forward in their pursuits.

THE INBUILT WARRIOR

  1. The three nakshatras shed light on the power of the goddess. The goddess energy is a repository of both the darkness and the light, the poison and the medicine, war and peace.

  2. The moral or brute force coming from the nakshatras can be used for various purposes both material and non- material. All three nakshatras are placed in the original 8th and 9th house of astrology. 8th house is the experience of death and karma. 9th house is the pursuit of a greater or higher path. As can be seen, destruction is necessary to navigate the experience of the 8th and 9th house.

  3. The nakshatras can involve experiences of self isolation and social exclusion. Individua's driven to uncovering and establishing the truth are easy to identify in a crowd and can make other uncomfortable (the whistleblowers). Self isolation can be a response to the constant release of the powerful energy held in the psyche.

  4. Natives influenced by the three nakshatras are not intimidated by people or situations. In reality, they feel they are controlled by the forces of nature.

  5. For the three nakshatra natives, being at war is a weapon and a way of life. Tactics for war and conspiracy are inbuilt qualities. It is immaterial whether they win the war or not. What matters is that they exhibit intellect and tact which is extraordinary. (archetype- losing the war but winning the battle story).

  6. When strongly influenced by the three nakshatras, the natives need to constantly be aware of the enemy (within or outside). The attracting the opposite kind concept applies here. These natives tend to attract the opposite kind often. e.g. Mula ascendant native constantly having to deal with liars. Or a Purvashada native dealing with restrictions placed by authority or family.

  7. When any of the nakshatras are triggered at a given time, the experiences related to the nakshatra amplify. If we look at the years of 2019-2020, speculations about war (cyber war/psychological war/economic war) have been a global concern. Individuals whose personal charts were triggered would have experienced a feeling of being at war.

  8. Persons influenced by the three nakshatras are likely to do the following;

- wear a talisman

- cherish earrings/ amulets given by elders/ ancestors

- have paintings of waterways, goddess etc. as decoration

- use decorative items- dolphins, fishes

- look up or follow research on black holes, grey matter

- be interested in mythology particularly wars and war based characters

- be fascinated with armors, new weaponry, swords

- read books about ancient civilizations, rituals, black magic etc.

Are you influenced by the goddess nakshatras?

Do you think war and peace are inseparable?
